Active Public Proxy Server List
 There are a large number of publicly available proxy servers that you can connect
to and use for free to improve your web-browsing experience. As they are all
public, none of them should require a password in order to connect. Just type
the IP Address and Port numbers into the Proxies tab of your Network Preferences
Pane and you should be able to surf the Internet with all the benefits of a
fully fledged web-proxy. If you need more information, please see our article Setting

Updated lists of public proxy servers are kept at http://www.publicproxyservers.com,
and http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html.

will be using.
- Proxy 4 Free is an easy-to-navigate
site with a comprehensive 5 page list of public proxies. This is good one
to try, as long as you can ignore the constant adverts for their software.
There don't appear to be any pop-ups though, which is a definite bonus!
You can find more proxy list websites at http://www.stayinvisible.com/proxy_lists.html.
These websites continually test the public proxies to make sure they remain
up-to-date; out of date or ineffective proxies are removed once they have been
spotted. Stay Invisible is perhaps
the most useful of all the websites discussed here; effectively being a proxy-list
list and allowing you to keep track of the most relevant proxy sites out there.
